New housing on a charming historic site
Gallus Studio were invited to provide ideas in concept form only to inform a planning brief for the regeneration of this unique small river island, sensitive to its character and harmonious with it’s atmosphere and natural beauty.
The island consists of working and derelict boatyards as well as listed and more modern buildings. The brief requested the design of some new buildings located to take account of environmental concerns, the addition of moorings and a new bridge.
